2,000 Suspected Cases of H1N1 at Washington State University

Pullman, WA - According to Health & Wellness Services at Washington State University on September 4, 2009 they “have been in contact with about 2,000 students with influenza-like illness in the first ten days of [their] fall semester.  At this time of year, we would typically only see a handful of patients with influenza-like illness.”

The department at WSU has published a new blog to relay students the latest updates and information on H1N1 flu on campus.

Students are now being given flu self-care kits after waiting a half hour or more in the clinic.  Self-isolation is also being advised.
